Everyone knows that eye care starts with each one of us. But how many of us know where to start—or how well we’re doing?

There is a lot of conventional wisdom about eye care, and some of it is simply untrue. For example, sitting “too close” to the television and reading in the dark do not create vision-related problems. Similarly, going without eyeglasses does not help you “exercise” your eyes, and needing bifocals is not caused by too much near-distance eye effort over the years.

That’s why your B.C. Optometrist is here to help. They can offer you informed answers to all your tough questions, and they can get you started on solid eye care habits.
