Bob Butler, Optician

Mr. Butler is our senior Optician, in fact, he has been here at Mount Pleasant since the building was completed and the doors first opened January 2, 1950!

“In those days, all lenses were glass - lots of broken lenses back then! There were only about a dozen or so frame styles available and frames were fit to the patient right in the exam chair”.

Times have changed over the years and Bob has kept on top of his craft. In fact, he was responsible for introducing the Air Titanium collection of frames to our office, which went on to win the most prestigious awards in the optical industry.

Bob is a great grandfather now, and he enjoys spending his spare time tending to his garden, his shop, and his summer place on Vancouver Island. With all this, he still finds time to come into the office to take care of patients from all over the lower mainland. He certainly has quite a ‘following’ of loyal patients, to whom he is ‘Just the best!”
