For three days, Dr. Mowbray hosted Precision Technology’s exhibit promoting AOK (Accelerated Orthokeratology) at the Vancouver Convention center.
It is estimated that over 5,000 people attended the show, and Dr. Mowbray says he feels like he might have seen every one of them!
On site screening was available with specialized equipment, including a Corneal Topographer capable of providing very accurate shape diagrams of each candidate’s cornea. This created a lot of interest at the show, as did the various diagrams and models Dr. Mowbray had on site to demonstrate the effectiveness of Accelerated Orthokeratology or AOK.
Many questions were also fielded at the show pertaining to Ocular Pathologies such as Glaucoma and Cataracts. Of course, the recent television news coverage of AOK has many people interested in the procedure, and most of Dr. Mowbray’s time was spent explaining exactly how AOK can reduce or eliminate nearsightedness in both children and adults.
