Leonora Castillo, Optometric Assistant

Nora was born in Cagayan, Philippines, and moved to Canada in 1991. She underwent training in office administration and in 1996 completed the Medical Office Assistant program. After nearly 10 years working in Medical clinics in Vancouver, she joined us here at Mount Pleasant Optometry in 2005.

In the clinic Nora does administrative tasks and also serves as a "pre-tester" performing several preliminary tests before seeing the doctor. These tests include: visual acuity, colour vision, auto-refraction, intra-ocular pressure testing, retinal photography, visual fields and corneal topography.

In her spare time Nora enjoys the company of her family, gardening and biking; she has set a good example for us all by riding her bike to work!
