Robin Simpson, OD
Dr. Simpson is no longer seeing patients at MPOC, although our patients ask about him all the time!
He is still very dedicated to the profession of Optometry, and the well-being of patients. He currently is involved with the College of Optometrists of BC which is indeed a very great honour to us all here at the clinic.
Dr. Simpson joined MPOC, then owned by Dr. Donald Hunter, in 1985. He built a strong reputation as an expert specialty RGP lens fitter for people with complex needs or conditions such as Keratoconus. He also started our AOK program for the non-surgical reduction of myopia in children and served on research panels for new technology.
Dr. Simpson has always been very active in the community - among other things he had coached Little League and taught sailing. His lifelong love affair with the sea has seen him cross the Pacific Ocean many times among other adventures. He spends as much time as he can with his family now including 2 grandkids.
Dr. Simpson believes strongly in the value of community, and he has enjoyed long relationships with his patients over many years.
